Lisa Rhyne, twenty-seven and recently divorced, relocates to a rural community on the Russian River near the Pacific coast of northern California. She rents a cabin and begins a new job driving a school bus. She has a bachelor’s degree, a cat, a wood burning stove, solitude, and a troubled soul.
